You know, there's a verse in Proverbs 21:17 that says:
“Whoever loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.”

Hey fam,

Let’s talk - heart to heart.

In short, sherehe lifestyle huleta umaskini.
And before you scroll past this thinking "Aah, si mimi niko tu sawa... mimi ni social drinker", just hear me out.
This is not a lecture. It's a loving chat - from someone who’s been there, and came out by God’s grace .

From One Drink to Destruction

There are levels to this thing

There’s the weekend crowd - watu wa Friday form. They drink once in a while, maybe once a month.
Then there are the daily sippers - watu wa "toa lock" , those who can't function without a drink in the system.
And then there’s the deep end - the “I wake up and need a drink to feel normal” level.

That’s where it stops being fun and starts becoming slavery.
That’s when the bottle is no longer your friend. It’s your master.

Let me be real with you:
I started as a casual drinker - weekends, sometimes once a month. But before long, it was daily. I’d go to bed drunk. Wake up and reach for a bottle. And you know what? I thought I was in control. But I wasn’t.

In less than a year, my business was gone. Clients left. Trust was broken.
Auctioneers came. I lost everything. I was homeless.
All because I kept numbing the pain of a loved one I had lost... instead of facing it.
Alcohol became my bandage, but it couldn’t heal what was bleeding on the inside.

But God - God came through.

Freedom Is Real - And So Is Financial Recovery

After many relapses, tears, prayers, and battles, I broke free.
This is now my third year clean. And guess what?
Life has never been more peaceful, more hopeful - and more productive.
You see, when I was drinking daily, I didn’t realise I was literally drinking my future.

Let me break it down for you.
Say you spend just Ksh 10,000 every month on alcohol - that’s about two beers a day if you're doing it “light”.

What if instead of that, you put that Ksh 10,000 every month in a compound interest account earning 12.5% per year for the next 30 years?

But before we go there - here’s a thought:

Face the Real Problem - Don’t Drown It

I know, sometimes the bottle is not just about having fun. It’s covering something.
Maybe it’s grief.
Maybe it’s pressure.
Maybe it’s loneliness.
Maybe it’s trauma you haven’t even unpacked.

But please hear me:
It’s cheaper, safer, and wiser to face the root of the problem than to drown in temporary relief.

Therapy is cheaper than addiction.
Talking to someone helps more than numbing it.
A support group brings real healing.

You are not weak. You are wounded.
But wounds can heal - if treated the right way.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

If you’re already deep in, I want you to know that you can stop.
No matter how long it’s been. No matter how hard it feels.
The fact that you’re reading this is already proof that hope is alive in you.

Join our community.
We’ve got counselors, advisors, and real people who know the journey.

We walk with you spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
And if you’ve never started drinking - PLEASE DON'T !!! If alcoholism runs in your family line, it’s a dangerous door to open.

Freedom Looks Good on You

Let’s not let Ksh 300 a day rob us of Ksh 35 million and the life God meant for us.
Let’s choose freedom. Let’s choose healing. Let’s choose a future that’s built built, not burden by alcohol.

If no one has told you lately, let me say this to you —
You matter. You have purpose. You are loved.
And your future is still worth saving, starting now.

Let’s walk together.
Form zetu sasa ni za legacy.

🔍 Let’s Break It Down Clearly: What Does Ksh 10,000 a Month Really Do?

So you decide to stop pouring Ksh 10,000 down the drain every month on alcohol — and instead, start investing it faithfully for your future.

Here’s what happens if you put it in a good long-term investment (like a unit trust or mutual fund) earning 12.5% per annum for 30 years :

What You Contribute Ksh 10,000 x 12 months x 30 years = Ksh 3.6 million
What You End Up With (Compounded) After compound interest: Ksh 35.9 million+
Interest Earned That’s over Ksh 32.3 million in interest alone!

Let that sink in… You only invested Ksh 3.6 million, but your money worked for you and added over Ksh 32 million!
That’s the quiet power of compound interest - the same one banks use to build empires.

💸 Then What? What Can That Ksh 35.9 Million Do for Me in Retirement?

Let’s say you decide to invest that retirement kitty into something stable like a government infrastructure bond earning 12.5% per annum , which pays you interest every six months .

Here’s how much that could give you:

  • 12.5% of Ksh 35.9 million → Ksh 4,487,500 per year
  • Divide that by 12 months → Ksh 373,958 per month

🎉 That’s almost Ksh 374K per month - for doing absolutely nothing but letting your money work!

Imagine that.
Instead of waking up with a hangover, you're waking up in your own home, stress-free, maybe on your shamba or by the coast. Kids in uni, bills sorted, peace in your heart, and a legacy in place.

Now compare that to spending the same Ksh 10,000 monthly on drinks and waking up to:

  • No Savings
  • Broken relationships
  • Financial stress
  • Maybe even health complications
  • And a regret that “I wish I had listened earlier…”

💬 Ready for a New Story?

You can either:

Drink your future away
OR
Build a future where money works for you - even while you sleep

We’re here to help you choose the second path. The path of freedom, peace, and legacy.

You’re not doing this alone. I’m rooting for you.

You were made for more.
Let’s leave the bottle, and pick up the blueprint.
