Our Immediate Goal: Build a Training & Community Support Center

To serve people better, we are setting up a space that will function as:

  • The CBO office
  • A computer and basic-skills training centre
  • A safe, welcoming venue for workshops and meetings
  • A hub where people can receive guidance, mentorship and support

This center will allow us to run regular programs, reach more families, and keep costs very low for learners from low-income communities.

What We Need to Get Started (Transparent Budget)

We are raising support to launch and sustain the center for the first six months:

  • Premises Rent (6 months) – KES 360,000
    Gives stability while programs grow.
  • Partitioning & Setup – KES 300,000
Creating classrooms, small meeting areas, and storage.
  • Computers, Furniture & Equipment – KES 300,000
Chairs, desks, whiteboards, training computers, and essential tools.
TOTAL START-UP NEED: KES 960,000

Every contribution — big or small — brings this closer to reality.

Why This Matters

Our focus is especially on needy families and young people in slum communities — people with potential, but few opportunities.

At the center, they will be able to:

  • Learn financial literacy
  • Gain income‑earning skills
  • Access guided saving and participation programs
  • Receive mentorship and encouragement
  • Connect to real work opportunities we secure

Our mission is practical: teach, equip, connect — and watch lives change.

Ways to Support This Project

Support the Mission - Give a Grant or Donation

This option is for individuals and organizations who desire to support the mission without expectation of financial return.

What to expect:

  • Non-repayable contribution
  • Clear use-of-funds reporting
  • Periodic impact and progress updates

Help us secure the center and begin trainings immediately.

Lend to the Initiative - Provide a Patient Loan

This option is designed for supporters who wish to provide capital that is repaid over time as programs mature and generate revenue.

Funds provided through this channel support the same foundational infrastructure, but under a structured loan arrangement with defined terms.

Key features:

  • Fixed loan period
  • Modest, predefined return or capital protection structure
  • Repayment tied to operational performance
  • Formal loan agreement provided

This is not a bank deposit and carries operational risk, which is clearly disclosed.

Partner for the Future - Explore Future Investment Discussions

This option is for long-term partners aligned with Set Free Capital’s broader vision of developing sustainable financial solutions and, in time, regulated investment platforms.

Important to note:

  • This is early-stage impact capital
  • Returns are not guaranteed
  • Timelines are long-term (2–5+ years)
  • Structures may include revenue participation or future equity conversion

For partners interested in our long‑term vision as we grow into a financial institution.

We also welcome:

  • Community outreach support

If you have a skill that can change someone’s future — we’d love to hear from you.

OUR COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY

We are committed to:

  • Clear communication on how funds are used
  • Appropriate legal and governance structures
  • Ethical stewardship of all resources entrusted to us
  • Gradual, compliant growth aligned with our mission and values

Gentle Note
