PRINCIPLES OF SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY - PART 1
By Set Free Capital CBO - your partners in financial wisdom and real-life freedom
Supernatural supply is not just a promise to claim but a covenant to walk in. The fulfillment of God's provision depends on our obedience to His principles. Below are the essential pillars that ensure supernatural supply.
1. Revelation of the Word of God About Supernatural Supply
You must first have a deep understanding of what the Word of God says about supernatural provision. Without revelation, there is no possession.
Key Scriptures:
- Psalms 35:27 – "Let them be glad and shout for joy who have joy in the prosperity of His servant."
- 3 John 1:2 – "I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers."
- Deuteronomy 28:1-13 – "If you obey the Lord your God… these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you."
- Isiah 45:3 - "And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness - secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name"
Principles:
- Revelation brings possession.
- Revelation precedes release.
- Revelation determines manifestation. In any realm you want to manifest, you need revelation for it.
2. Conviction of the Heart
Faith and conviction in your heart determine what you will receive.
Key Scriptures :
- Proverbs 23:7 – "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
- Christian Hymn – "My Father in Heaven is rich in lands, houses; the flocks on a thousand hills belong to Him, and I am His heir."
Principles:
- What you believe determines what you see.
- What you believe determines what you receive.
- What you believe determines how you behave, and how you behave determines what you become.
3. Understanding the Covenant of Supernatural Supply
Supernatural supply operates by covenant, not just by prayer or wishful thinking.
Key Scriptures :- Genesis 8:22 – "While the Earth remains, there shall be seed time and harvest time."
- 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 – "He that sows sparingly shall reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully. God loves a cheerful giver."
- Acts 20:35 – "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
- God is obligated only when man is committed.
- Everything that can be done to bring about a harvest is an exercise in futility until the seed is in the earth. Every harvest requires a seed. The blessing is in the giving. Until seed leaves your hand the harvest cannot come to you. In Genesis 47:23 we learn from the story of Joseph how important seed is in the economy of God.
4. Practicing the Covenant of Supernatural Supply
Knowledge alone is not enough; action is required.
Key Insights:- What you know does not change your life - what you do with what you know does.
- Information brings intelligence, but action confirms wisdom.
- A doctor may know that smoking destroys the lungs, yet still smokes. Knowing is not enough.
- Give Revelationally (Isaiah 32:20) – "Blessed are you who sow beside waters." It means sow where there is revelation of the Word. The Word is water.
- Give Relentlessly (Galatians 6:9) – "Do not grow weary in well-doing."
- Give Without Waiting for Perfect Conditions (Ecclesiastes 11:4) – "Whoever watches the wind will not plant."
5. Possessing the Picture and Mindset of Abundance
Your thoughts shape your reality.
Key Scriptures :- Proverbs 23:7 – "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
- Genesis 13:15 – "The land you see before you, I shall give to you."
- Proverbs 21:5 – "The thoughts of the diligent lead to plenty."
- Mental picture determines actual future. The possibilities of your mind affect the realities of your life.
- What flows through your mind overflows into your life. What you imagine will eventually emerge.
- God responds to your thinking the same way He responds to your asking.
- Take actions that affirm your vision, such as surrounding yourself with positive images of success.
6. Maintaining the Right Utterance (Confession of Your Mouth)
Your words shape your reality.
Key Scriptures:- Proverbs 18:20-21 – "Life and death are in the power of the tongue." This means that abundance and scarcity, or riches and poverty, are also determined by what we say.
- Ecclesiastes 5:6 – "Do not say before the angel, ‘I was just playing.’"
- What your heart believes and your hands release must align with what your mouth declares. Never allow your mouth to go against your hand and heart.
-
Avoid negative confessions like
"I’m struggling" or
"I’m barely managing."
Speak words of faith: "My God supplies all my needs!" or business is booming! - Your mouth brings home the harvest.
7. Maintaining a Climate of Joy and Praise
Your attitude affects your harvest.
Key Scriptures :- Jeremiah 30:19 – Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry.
- Psalms 126:5 – "Those who sow in tears shall reap with joy." You use joy to reap. Joy is a sickle.
- Joel 1:12 – "Joy and praise irrigate and fertilize your seed"
- Thanksgiving and praise are instruments of harvest.
- Depression repels divine supply, while joy attracts abundance. Joy is a choice just like depression.
8. Avoidance of Anti-Covenant Practices (Borrowing & Waste)
Debt is an enemy of supernatural supply.
Key Scriptures :- Deuteronomy 15:6 – "You shall not borrow."
- Romans 13:8 - "Owe no man anything except love."
- Borrowing depletes future resources.
- Wastefulness blocks financial increase.
- Always operate within your means. Trust God to show you how to exist without borrowing or begging. There is a way.
9. Avoidance of Dependence on Man
Trust in God, not people. Don’t make any human being your source.
Key Scriptures:- Jeremiah 17:5 – "Cursed is the man who trusts in man."
- Psalms 34:5 – "They looked unto Him, and their faces were lightened."
- Your destiny is too big for any human to finance. Only God has deep enough pockets to finance your purpose. Only God has unlimited resources.
- Looking up to man is looking away from God. And looking away from God is looking away from good to great shame.
10. Openness to Divine Instruction and Direction
Provision follows divine leading.
To Peter He said, go to the sea of Tiberius. Not Gennesaret or Galilee. To Elijah He said go to the widow of Zarephath, not any other.
For a Christian businessperson, it is essential to operate a business as an apostle or prophet would approach their calling from God. Pray and fast for divine direction.
Key Scriptures :- Isaiah 48:21 – "They thirsted not when He led them."
- Isaiah 49:10 – "They shall not hunger or thirst when He leads them."
11. Submission to Prophetic Instruction and Impartation
Believe in the prophet God has placed in your life.
Key Scriptures:- 2 Chronicles 20:20 – "Believe in the Lord and you will be established. Believe in His prophets and you shall prosper."
- Luke 5:4-5 – When Peter obeyed the instruction to "Cast your net to the right side", they caught a huge catch.
